My “Rasta Fav’s” widget is important because it’s an example of how easy it is for people to import their activity on any KickApps-powered “niche community” into the more popular “meta” social networks like MySpace and Facebook.
 
By embedding this widget on my MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/mcsommers/), all of my thousands of MySpace friends get instant updates any time I add any photos, videos, music tracks or people to my Favorites in the Dub and Reggae community. This could drive a lot (no, a shitload) of traffic back to the Dub and Reggae community.

  • This isn't a game. These widgets are not toys. This widget at least serves the purpose of actually driving traffic to the community.. which is what this shit is all about people let's go get a clue! The Star Trek widget is USELESS eye-candy that has zero business value. Hope it was fun to build!!! ... man ... I am so drunk. I hope you all buy my "widgets are for tools" argument...

  • While I am a huge fan of reggae music (the only thing i can dance to) it seemed to me to just be links to elsewhere; like a compendium, if you will, of what is at the destination site. i really like the tabs and the scroll of this widget and all the compiled info that is there, I like it but felt the star trek widget to be a destination itself, especially since the movie is only just started production.
