Simon's explanation:

Trying to push the envelope of widgets as viral tools with some challenges for the user to go through to get to the reward. Highlights WS interaction using the new mouseovers, players, the new scrubber component, use of interactive flash mashups from another site.

A real example could have many paths to entertain the user and increase the viral factor. A real one could have lots of different actions revealing teaser photo's videos and to get users to click through to the site. Also highlights the productivity power of the widget studio as time spent in widget studio was less than 2 hours.

Uses would be for films, music releases etc.

  • I really like how the clip leaves you hanging and wanting to click around for more. I also like the overall look and feel of this widget, that goes beyond my being a big trek fan.
